PERCUSSION

RUBÉN MARTÍNEZ

 

Rubén Martínez Albiñana, graduate in the specialty of percussion interpretation at the CSM "Joaquin Rodrigo" of Valencia, by the hand of Manel Ramada, Manuel Tomás and Sergio Izquierdo. He moved to Madrid to further his studies in Madrid OKHO percussion academy, being its teachers Raul Benavent, Enrique LLopis "Harry" and Javier Benet.

 

He has been a member of the JORVAL (Jove Orquestra de València), JONC (Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya), OFUV (Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia) and the OSM School Orchestra (Madrid Symphony Orchestra).

 

In the professional field, he has collaborated with orchestras such as OSCYl (Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra), OCRTVE (Orquesta y Coro de Radiotelevisión Española), OCNE (National Orchestra and Choir of Spain), OSM (Madrid-Tatro Symphony Orchestra Real-), OV (Valencia Orchestra), OEX (Extremadura Orchestra), OSPA (Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra), ORCAM (Community of Madrid Orchestra), Orchestra of the Gran Teatro del Liceu and Barcelona Municipal Band.

​

In the didactic section, he has taught at various professional music conservatories, CPM “Ana María Sánchez” (Elda) and at various music schools.

 

Winner of the “Ciutat de LLiria” International Competition for Young Performers, within the PERKULLIRIA 2009 percussion festival.

 

Obtains the title of Master in Musical Research in 2020 from the VIU.

 

He has performed didactic shows such as “Açò també es ritme”, “A tempo de conte. He has taught masterclasses and courses in various higher education centers such as CSM "Salvador Seguí" (Castellón), CSM "Bonifacio Gil" (Badajoz), CONSUMUPA (Oviedo).

 

He has made audio and video recordings for RTVE and RNE. He is currently a professor at the CPM "Mossen Francesc Peñarroja", La Vall d'Uxó.

 

CLARINET

AMPARO SANTIAGO

 

She began her clarinet studies at the Sociedad Musical L'Artística Manisense de Manises, with José Miguel Micó Castellanos.

​

She continued her professional studies with Juan Ramón Beltrán and Daniel Labrada, obtaining the Honorary Prize at the end of the Intermediate Grade at the Professional Conservatory Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia.

 

She obtains the Superior Title in the speciality of Clarinet, at the Conservatorio Superior Joaquín Rodrigo de Valencia with Professor José Cerveró Martínez.

​

She has attended advanced courses with Eduardo Ventura and Michael Arrignon.

 

As a clarinetist she has collaborated with the Antonio Machado Orchestra of Salamanca, Orquesta La Lírica de Silla and with the Orquesta de la Sociedad Musical L'Artística Manisense de Manises of which she is currently a member.

 

She is a member of the chamber ensemble "Camerata Manises" and of the clarinet group "FustaVent Clarinet Choir".

​

She has conducted Musical Awareness days for schoolchildren with various chamber ensembles in different schools in the Valencian Community.

​

As a teacher, she has been a music teacher at the El Carmen School in Manises, as part of the programme "Música a l'Escola de Manises.

 

Clarinet teacher at the Music School of the Agrupación Artístico Musical de Tavernes Blanques.

 

At present she is a Clarinet teacher at the Music School L'Agrupació Musical L'Amistad de Quart de Poblet and Clarinet and Musical Language teacher at the Music School of the Sociedad Musical L'Artística Manisense de Manises.

FLUTE

LUCIANA FERNUNSON

 

Born in Argentina, she studied music at the Buenos Aires National Conservatory with the Italian-Argentine flutist Alfredo Iannelli. Later she won the Fulbright scholarship to do a Master's in acting at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, United States) with Professor Alberto Almarza. In Spain, she obtained the Higher Degree in Music with Honors at the Salvador Seguí Higher Conservatory of Music in Castellón.

  

She has received scholarships from the Teatro Colón Foundation, Antorchas Foundation, Mozarteum Argentino and the Fulbright Commission.

  

She complements her training by participating in courses and Masterclasses with flutists Riccardo Ghiani, Claude Lefebre (Nice International Festival), Benoit Fromanger (Benidorm International Music Course), Álvaro Octavio, Salvador Martínez, Julien Beaudiment, Vicens Prats and Janos Bálint, among others.

 

 She has been part of the Academic Orchestra of the Teatro Colón (Argentina), Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic and Carnegie Mellon Baroque Ensemble (Pittsburgh, USA). Later she collaborated in Spain with professional orchestras such as: Orquesta de Valencia, Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, Tenerife Symphony Orchestra, and Valencian Community Orchestra.

 

She has recorded together with the guitarist Rubén Parejo the work “Suite de Buenos Aires” by the composer Claudia Montero. She also makes recordings for the composition department of the Berklee University of Valencia.

 

She has taught flute classes at the elementary and professional level at the Professional Conservatory of Alicante, Ateneo Musical del Puerto de Valencia, Santa Cecilia de Foios Music School, Bétera Musical Art Center and Ad Libitum Schools.

 

Currently she is part of the backup instrumentalist pool of the Valencia Orchestra and teaches transverse flute, orchestral repertoire and piccolo at the Manuel Massotti Littel Superior Conservatory in Murcia.

 

OBOE

VICENTE GIMÉNEZ

 

He began his musical studies in the musical society of his native town (Algemesí, 1979). He studied at the José Iturbi Professional Conservatory of Music and the Joaquín Rodrigo Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia with professors José Zafrilla and Francisco Salanova, obtaining the highest qualifications. During his formative years he was a member of the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Orquestra de la Universitat de València, and attended various training courses with professors of the stature of Jean-Louis Capezzali, Maurice Bourge, Emanuel Abbühl, Stefan Schilli, Salvador Tudela, Vicente Llimerá and Jesús Fuster, among others.

 

He has been invited to collaborate with various orchestras, including the Orquesta Sinfónica RTVE, Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid (Principal Orchestra of the Teatro Real), Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta de Extremadura, Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia, Orquesta Simfònica del Vallès, European Royal Ensemble, The Soloists of London and Plural Ensemble.

 

In 2005 he toured the USA and Canada with the show Tango Flamenco of Antonio Najarro's company, touring the most important theatres and jazz festivals in the United States.

​

He was a member of the Orquesta Filarmonía de Madrid, with which he made numerous recordings for the RTVE music programme El Conciertazo, as well as various symphonic and opera productions throughout Spain. Also in Madrid, he taught oboe at the Conservatorio de Alcalá de Henares and at the Centro de Enseñanza Musical Katarina Gurska, until he moved to Andalusia, where he taught oboe and chamber music at the Real Conservatorio Manuel de Falla de Cádiz.

  

He has been an executive member of the Association of Bassoonists and Oboists of Spain, host association of the 47th Annual Conference of the International Double Reed Society held in Granada in 2018, with the aim of contributing to the dissemination and corporativism of the world of the double reed.

​

He combines his work as a teacher with an intense activity in different chamber ensembles, as well as his passion for music with historicist criteria, forming part of projects such as the Orquesta Barroca de Cádiz or the ensemble La Gracieuse.

 

SAXOPHONE

PABLO BALAGUER

 

An international soloist, Pablo is a saxophonist from Burjassot with a passion for chamber music. Having found his voice and his artistic identity in the ensembles of which he is a founding member, he is undoubtedly the groups of which he is a founding member, he is undoubtedly the restless musician we find today, partly thanks to his shared musician that we find today, partly thanks to the trajectory shared with them. His activity with Anlauf Duo, Klexos, Concept Store Quartet and the pianist Sinforosa Petral. pianist Sinforosa Petralia have led him to give recitals and tours in Europe, America and Asia. Asia; being programmed in prestigious auditoriums such as the National Auditorium of Spain, the Auditorio Nacional de España, the Auditorio de Zacatecas, the Universidad de Lima, the Parque Real de Varsovia and the Concert Royal Park in Warsaw and the Concert Hall in Shanghai.

 

Awarded in more than 20 competitions, artist Selmer and Vandoren, Pablo debuts as soloist in 2016 with Kammerorchester Basel performing Heitor Villa-Lobos' Fantasia, but it is worth mentioning other opportunities with ORCAM, ADDA Sinfónica, Orchestre d'Harmonie Municipale de Bordeaux, JOGV or the Banda Municipal de Barcelona, where he is a collaborator.

 

Trained between Valencia, Bordeaux and Basel and always obtaining the highest qualifications, Pablo owes his demanding and non-conformist nature to the teachers Marie Bernardette-Charrier and Marcus Weiss. Precisely with the Swiss master (with whom he studied two Masters in performance and contemporary music) and his assistant, Alejandro Oliván, they are currently developing a project dedicated to the music of JS Bach and already programmed in Valencia, Vitoria and Basel.

 

Together with the Sinforosa Petralia, they presented their first album "Lou Cabridan" in 2021 a work dedicated to French impressionism with premieres in Spain and Switzerland and presented in RNE Clásica, the magazine Melómano, the University of Valencia, À Punt and Catalunya Ràdio.

 

With Klexos, he is co-organiser of the International Festival of Contemporary Music KlexosLab in Valencia.

Contemporary Music Festival KlexosLab of Plasencia, currently in its seventh edition; and together with Concept Store Quartet, with more than 50 world premieres by the most emerging Central European composers, they are preparing their next engagements in Switzerland, Germany, Slovakia and upcoming engagements in Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia, Slovakia, Norway, USA and Japan, USA and Japan.

 

In short, Pablo is a strong advocate of the dual nature of a working artist. He devotes all his drive and energy to combining his artistic activity with his teaching work. In addition to participating as a regular guest teacher and contemporary music festivals, he is currently a saxophone teacher at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música "Mestre Tàrrega" in Castellón.

 

FRENCH HORN

JOSÉ ANTONIO SORIA

 

He currently occupies the position of Assistant Principal Horn in the Extremadura Orchestra, and occupies a position as collaborator with the Ciutat de Barcelona and National Orchestras of Catalonia and the Bilbao Municipal Band.

  

Graduated from the Superior Conservatory "Salvador Seguí" in Castellón under the tutelage of Joan Batiste Bernat and Vicente Navarro, with several teachers who mark and marked his career, such as Manuel Pérez, Juan Luís Real, Saúl Tébar, Manuel Dato and Maria Amparo Oliver.

 

 He currently continues his training, guided by great soloists and pedagogues. During his career he has collaborated with numerous orchestras such as the Cadaqués Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra of the Teatro Real de Madrid, the Gran Teatro del Liceo Orchestra of Barcelona, the Bankia Symphony Orchestra, the Film Symphony and many more.

 

TRUMPET

JUAN BAUTISTA

 

Juan Bta Silla Palazón (1983.Silla-Valencia). His musical training began in his native town in the heart of the Agrupación Musical la Lírica De Silla, with teachers such as Don. D.Llavata, L.González, A.Soriano, C.Gastaldo, following his formation at the Professional Conservatory of Silla with A. Hernandez, until he entered the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Joaquin Rodrigo" in Valencia where he graduated with Professor Don. José Maria Ortí Soriano.

 

From 2009 to 2016, he has been working as an orchestral musician in Mexico, where he is Co-Principal in the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado de Yucatán State, also giving classes and pedagogical concerts.

​

Afterwards, and now residing in Valencia from 2016 until 2020 he has collaborated in several orchestras in Spain. Since 2020 until nowadays, his activity is teaching for children and adults in Musical Schools: Unió Musical de Picanya and Agrupació Musical de San Isidre (Valencia).

TROMBONE

PAU HERNÁNDEZ

 

Pau Hernández Santamaria (Catarroja, 2001) is a trombonist based in the UK.

 

He combines his "Master of Performance" at the Royal College of Music (London), with the professors Lindsay Shilling, Byron Fulcher, Matthew Knight and Amos Miller, with various professional activities.

 

 Recently, he has collaborated with professional orchestras such as the Ulster Orchestra (currently on probation for the position of 2nd Trombone), London Sinfonietta or the orchestra of the English National Opera (through the English National Opera Orchestra (through the ENO Evolve Scheme) and has been awarded the ABRSM EU Postgraduate Scholarship to fully fund his postgraduate studies.

 

 His musical interests are not limited to the symphony orchestra, as in 2022 he won the 2nd Prize in the Saccabeche Competition organised by the Competition organised by the British Trombone Association and has taken part in productions of musicals such as Crazy for you (Geoids Musical Theatre), Singin' in the Rain (Geoids Musical Theatre), Oliver (Hatton Musical Theatre) and Holiday Inn (Centre Stage London).

​

In 2019 she moved to London to study for a BA (Hons) Acting degree at the Royal College of Music thanks to the Dolly Knowles Charitable Trust Award, graduating with matriculation in July 2023.

 

Externally, he has been trained by trombonists such as Susan Addison, Jeremy Wilson, Abbie Conant Wilson, Abbie Conant, Simon Johnson and Jonas Bylund and has worked with conductors such as Sir Antonio Pappano, Sakari Oramo, Vasily Petrenko and Daniele Rustioni.

 

As a teacher, he has participated in music workshops in primary schools run by the London Sinfonietta and is a private tutor for trombone, euphonium and musical language in Spain and the UK.

TUBA

DAVID SORIANO

 

Playing with orchestras such as Orquesta de Extremadura, the Ensemble Intercontemporain de Paris and the Film Symphony Orchestra, to which he is conducting the Master's Degree in Interpretation at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Professor Gérard Buquet.

 

If the final version of the Interpretation Agreement, intended for the first year of the International Conference on Bombing at AETYB Barcelona 2014, the special prize of the XIII edition of the National Act of Interpretation "Interpretation of Melomanno" in Madrid (2014 ), first prize in the V Vila Joiosa National Contest (2015), first prize in the VI Vila Joiosa National Contest (2016), first prize in the II Vila Joiosa AETYB Valencia 2016 International Contest, main premiere in the VII Sala Concierto Nacional de Vila Joiosa, first prize in the XVIII National Contest for Young Performers "Ciudad de Xátiva" (2018), first prize in the III Contest of the International Hall and Bombardear AETYB Madrid 2018.

 

He has collaborated with specific formations such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain de Paris, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra or the Extremadura Orchestra. He has also been part of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain, Youth Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid and Film Symphony Orchestra.

 

As a Soloist he has been awarded by the Agrarian Association of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Castilla-La Mancha, Municipal Symphonic Band of Alicante, AETYB Symphonic Band Madrid 2018 and Municipal Symphonic Band of Albacete, he has also been a guest artist at Alzira 2019 festivals.

VIOLIN

ANDREA TUR

 

She graduated in violin from the Conservatorio Superior de Música "Joaquín Rodrigo" in Valencia where she studied with Vicente Balaguer. She has taken several courses with Enrique Palomares, Anabel García del Castillo and Oksana Solovieva. She also completed a postgraduate course with Kai Gleusteen at the Escuela Superior de Música de Cataluña (ESMUC).

​

In 2013 she obtained a Master's degree in Music, specialising in Contemporary Music, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. She also holds a diploma in Music Teaching from the University of Valencia.

She has the Suzuki Teacher Training Level 1 and has been trained in Music Mind Games and Rolland Pedagogy. She has also attended violin pedagogy courses with Professor Mimi Zweig.

​

She has collaborated with orchestral ensembles such as Orquesta de Valencia, Orquesta Escuela de la Sinfónica de Madrid, Collegium Instrumentale de Valencia and Cullerarts, and has been a regular member of the Joven Orquesta de la Generalitat Valenciana (JOGV) and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE).

​

She taught violin at the Centro Profesional de Música "Santa Cecilia" in Cullera and at the Conservatorio Profesional "Sebastián Durón" in Guadalajara. In 2015 she obtained a post by competitive examination as a music teacher in Valencia.

​

Since 2019 she has been a violin teacher at the Conservatorio Municipal de Música "José Iturbi" in Valencia.

VIOLIN

JOSE MIGUEL RODRIGO

​

Violin teacher at the CPM “Mestre Molins” and at l’Amistat de Quart de Poblet.

​

He completed his professional violin studies with teacher Victoria Lorente at the "Velluters Professional Music Conservatory of Valencia". He completed his higher education at the “Superior Conservatory of Valencia” under the tutelage of Remedio Fabra and obtained Master's degrees in Music Teaching and Secondary School Teaching.

​

He has also studied with Igor Malinovsky, Andrei Frolov, Jesse Levin, M. Carmen Antequera, Rafael Khismatulin, Youri Volguin and Vicente Balaguer....

​

He has been a regular member of orchestras such as the Orchestra of the University of Valencia "OFUV", Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana "JOGV", Young National Orchestra of Catalonia "JONC" or Master Symphony Orchestra, performing in some of them as Violin Concertino .

​

Additionally, he is Manager of the Valencia International Music Festival, where he has had the opportunity to work with soloists of great international reputation.

 

VIOLA

PAQUI SAPIÑA

 

Paqui, born in Cullera, began her musical studies at the age of 9, in the Sociedad Musical Instructiva Santa Cecilia de Cullera, under the guidance of her viola teacher Rafael Ramón Casas.

 

She finished her professional music studies with the viola teachers Juan Luis Martinez, Luis Artigues Llacer and Luis Roig Cerveró. In 2013 he resumed her studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Joaquín Rodrigo in Valencia with Professor Dr. Pablo García Torrelles, with whom she graduated in higher studies in music performance in 2018 at the CSMV.

 

In 2021 she obtained a Master's degree in music, specialising in viola performance at the CSMValencia.

 

She has taken master classes with teachers such as Joaquin Riquelme, Rivka Golani, Tatjana Masurenko, Elena Unaldi and José Puchades of the Quartet Quiroga.

She currently teaches viola at: Cento Autorizado Enseñanzas Profesionales Ateneo musical del Puerto, Artistic and Musical Centre of Moncada, Manises Musical Artistic and Artistic Society of Manises. In addition, she is in the job vacancy with the speciality of viola in the Orquesta de Valencia. Member of the quartet with piano "Hummel Chamber Ensemble".

 

She collaborates with various orchestras such as: Berklee, Orquesta Nuevos Aires, Zarzuela a Xátiva, Opera Workshop at the CSMV from 2013 to 2020.   Federated in Orquesta Sta Cecilia de Cullera and Sociedad Artística Manisense participating in Festival de Orquestas CaixaBank, Orquesta CullerArts since its inception participating in Violin Competitions every year and Gala Lírica. Concerts as soloist in Auditorio Sta Cecilia de Cullera and in Teatro Alginet. OSVIFE Gandia Orchestra.

VIOLONCELLO

MARC BULLÓN

 

Eclectic and passionate musician, cellist and multi-instrumentalist.

 

 He made his music debut at the age of 5 with the Pequeños Cantores de Valencia choir and at the age of 7 he began playing the cello in the Ateneo Musical del Puerto society.

 

At a very young age, he received advice from cellists such as M. Rostropovich, J.P. Maintz, Jordi Savall…

 

 He obtained his higher diplomas at the conservatories of Valencia and Zaragoza with Elena Solanes, Mayte García and David Apellàniz, later he perfected himself in Paris with Xavier Gagnepain and Nima Ben David.

 

He has performed in the most important concert halls in Spain and France with ensembles such as the Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Les Possibles, Compagnie Errance, Aragonaise Trio, Quatuour Musici, Orquesta de Valencia…

 

 Very interested in pedagogy, he combines his artistic career with teaching students from different Conservatories in France.

 

 He graduated from the Sorbonne and Paris 8 universities in collaboration with the Paris Conservatory with two Master's degrees in Musicology and Improvisation and Musical Creation.

 

Creator of several multidisciplinary shows in Paris, he is a correspondent member of the French Cello Association. He plays a cello built by N. Couturieux in 1827.

 

 He is currently a professor of cello and chamber music at the José Iturbi municipal conservatory in Valencia.
