EVA TORMOS

Violin teacher at the “Ateneo Musical del Puerto” of Valencia.

 

Eva studied violin under Miguel Ángel Gorrea at the “Conservatorio José Iturbi” of Valencia where she completed her studies with honours. She obtained her bachelor degree studying under M. Carmen Antequera. She was also an assistant at courses and masterclasses taught by violin professors such as Mirabai Weismehl Rosenfeld, Ivan Zenaty, Anabel García, Verena Maria Fitz, Alexander Detisov and María Radicheva.

 

Eva has been collaborating with the “Orquesta del Reino de Aragón” (ORA) and the “Orquesta de Cámara de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid”. She has been a member of the “Carpe Diem Chamber Orchestra”, Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana (JOGV), Orquesta Federal de la Comunidad Valenciana and Orquesta de la Universidad de Valencia (OFUV), acting as concertmaster during two years.

 

Her passion for teaching violin led her to develop special teaching methods for various courses of string instruments in Madrid (CEPIC) in collaboration with professors Mimi Zweig, Sergio Castro, Mary Cohen, Koen Rens and Lynne Denig. She is also completing her Master’s degree in Musicotherapy
