FIMValencia 2024

FIMValencia 2024 is a mastering course directed to professional musicians and music students in advanced courses, studying Bachellor or Master's degree.

 

If a younger student or one with less studies wishes to take part in FIMValencia 2024, they must contact us before registering and provide us with a recording so that our teachers can evaluate them.

​

The courses will take place in Valencia, (SPAIN) at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia "Joaquín Rodrigo" and will be carried out from July 16 to 20 (5 days) from 9:00 to 19:00.

​

​

Places are limited and will be given in the order of registration. Once the limit of places is reached, a waiting list will be created.

REGISTRATION

​

What does registration to FIMValencia 2024 include?

​

All active students will attend each day:

​

  • Individual lessons of instrument

​

  • Group lessons of instrument

​

  • Extra activities

​

  • Take part of one of the FIMValencia Bands or Orchestras that will have rehearsals every day and will perform in the closing concert.

​

​

Enrollment Types:

​

The number of individual lessons during the week will depend on the type of enrollment that is chosen.

​

The distribution of the individual classes will be carried out by the organization of the festival in an equitable manner among all the students and all the students will have at least one class with each teacher of the specialty.

​

REDUCED

  • Price: €329

  • 3 individual classes of 45 minutes (spread throughout the week)

​

BASIC

  • Price: €499

  • 5 individual classes of 45 minutes (spread throughout the week)

​

COMPLETE

  • Price: €699

  • 7 individual classes of 45 minutes (spread throughout the week). 

​

NON ACTIVE STUDENT

  • Price: 100

  • You will be able to attend all activities and group classes, but you will not receive any individual classes.

​

Percussion:

  • The percussion students will do all the group masterclasses throughout the morning. In the afternoons they will have the opportunity to practice in the percussion classrooms with the Conservatory instruments.
    ​

  • Percussion students will only be able to take Reduced and Basic registration, meaning the number of days they will participate in the Masterclasses, 3 or 5 days.

​

Clarinet:

​

  • Ausiàs Garrigós will only teach bass clarinet students. Students will be asked in advance to find out who is interested in teaching a class with him.

​

  • ​Fátima Boix will teach clarinet and E-flat Clarinet.

​

Tuba and euphonium:

  • If a tuba or euphonium student wishes to register for the festival, she can register with the FIMValencia "Junior" registration.

​​

  • They will get lessons with the FIMValencia "Junior" Tuba and euphonium teacher and will be able to enjoy FIMValencia and all its complementary activities.

​

Students recital:

​

  • The students will have the opportunity to participate in the students recital, playing a piece or movement of their choice  (maximum of 10 minutes).

​

  • The festival will provide an accompanying pianist for anyone who requires it and indicates it in their registration.

​

  • The student will have to provide the organization with the piano part at least two weeks before the start of the festival (deadline on June 30th). The student will have the right to rehearse two sessions of 20 minutes each and perform in the recital.

​

  • The fee for a pianist is €120. ​

​

Bands and Orchestras:

​

  • The closing concert will be on Saturday, July 20nd from 5:00 p.m.​ at the Conservatory Auditorium.

​

  • All active students will take part in one of the ensembles that will have rehearsals to prepare the concert. 

​

  • The management of FIMValencia, together with the international professors, will carry out the selection and distribution of the students in the different groups that the festival offers. This distribution will take into account the instrument and the level required to be able to perform the pieces. The students will be informed in advance in order for them to prepare the repertoire properly.

​​

  • The size and distribution of the ensembles can change according to the level and number of students who attend FIMValencia.​​

​

​Payment methods:

​

  • The payment can be made with a card payment or by transfer.

​

  • Card payment has 5€ extra comision.

​​

​

Registration cancellation insurance:

  • The price of the cancellation insurance is €50.

​

  • If for any reason the student has to cancel their attendance at FIMValencia 2024, the amount paid for the registration will be refunded in full, (minus the amount of the cancellation insurance and a transfer fee of €5.

​

  • The cancellation insurance will be valid until June 30th, 2024 included. The cancellation insurance will cease to be valid on June 30th, 2024. The amount paid will not be refunded for cancellations made after July 1, 2024.

​

  • This cancellation insurance affects all the products contracted in the registration.

​

Accommodation:

​

  • IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BOOKING THE ACCOMODATION, CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING.

​

  • The festival will have shared accommodation with other festival students at its disposal.

​​

  • Double rooms with breakfast included. Price: €300/person.

​​

  • The hotel is: Ibis budget Valencia Centro Puerto, Calle Juan Verdeguer 29, 46024 València, España. A 30-minute walk from the headquarters of FIMValencia.

​​

  • To contract the accommodation, the student must be over 18 years of age. ​  For younger students, we will require an authorization from the parents or guardians.​

​

  • If a parent needs to book accommodation with his/her child, she/he may share the room with him/her paying the same accommodation price, please contact us through whatsapp in order to arrange it.

​

  • The entry date to the room is on Monday July 15 in the afternoon and departure is on Sunday July 21 in the morning.

​​​

  • The accommodation will be shared with one other students of the festival of the same sex, at similar ages and in separate beds.

​

  • The organization of the festival is not responsible for any damage or harm caused by the students during their stay in the  room.

​

  • The festival organization is not responsible for the students during the journey to or from the hotel.

​​

Lunches and meals:

​

  • The restaurant-cafeteria of our building will be open and available to students throughout the festival.

​​

  • However, there are also many restaurants around the center, and even a shopping center just 1 minute from the festival venue.

​​

Other information:

​

  • All students will receive a festival t-shirt.

​

  • There will be prectice rooms for everyone who needs it.

​

  • There will be a guarded room available to leave your instrument during the day.

​

  • The distribution of the lessons will be carried out by the organization of the festival. If a student needs to change a class, they must do so directly with their classmates.

​

  • If a student arrives late or does not attend to a lesson, the lesson will not be recoverable in any case.

​

  • If you have special needs regarding individual class schedules, the student must notify the organization before June 30.
